According to NASA, the Phoenix Lander has detec­ted snow fall­ing from clouds 4km above its land­ing site. Whilst the snow is vapour­ising before it hits the ground, this is a remark­able obser­va­tion of Mars’ ves­ti­gial atmo­spheric pro­cesses in motion.
