Over Eastbourne

View from top of our first hill of the day. It’s all downhill from here.

Michelham Priory

Michelham Priory, originally uploaded by Seb Potter.

This gorgeous Tudor manor is set in England’s longest water-filled moat and features a working mill as well as a 14th century gatehouse. We got to it about 5 miles into our ride today.

A shame it was closed, really.

Fanatical Coffee

This turned up in my in-tray today — a bribe of super-strong Kenco instant from Rackspace, part of a promotion they’re offering where you can win £1000 of holiday vouchers if you order a new server from them. Quite what the coffee has to do with holidays, I’m not sure, but it certainly makes for good emergency supplies!

Sun Light

I love old iron street lamps, and this one just happened to be at the right angle for this shot. Not brilliant, but I like it anyway.

Apparently this is what the french countryside looks like at 300 km per hour.
